Day 4 is our last day in Hong Kong before we heading to another Special Administrative Regions of China- Macau.
This is the day where we just need to sit inside the bus and listen explaination from tour guide.
After collect all the group members from different hotel, here start our journey!
The Expo Promenade (also known as Golden Bauhinia Square) outside the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre on the Wan Chai waterfront marks the most significant occasion in Hong Kong's history - the return of the former British colony to the People's Republic of China, and the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR).
There was windy as it located just beside the sea. Besides, you can walk around there to look the view of harbour from Hong Kong island.
With the 1st or second tallest building in HK
And then, we are moving to our next stop - Aberdeen harbour. It is home to hundreds of people living on fishing junks. Their traditional lifestyle is dramatically juxtaposed against a modern high-rise community spread over the nearby hillsides. In the evenings, the thousands of twinkling lights reflected on the water are a magical sight.
Aberdeen harbour is famous for two things – the floating restaurants, and the exclusive yatch marina.
We got into a sampan and rode around the harbor for an hour or so, taking in the sights.
With the one of Hong Kong's most famous tourist destinations is Jumbo's Floating Restaurant.
Who still remember which movie it appeared in?
With a half hour ride, we saw expensive yatchs owned by the stars like Jackie Chan, Andy Lau.
Further out the bay, there are lots of things to see, including the remnants of the boat people, and lots of tankers.
Managed to snap outside ocean park while they drop some members here. (Sure will get into in next time)
After a half day tour in Hong Kong, we heading to our next destination- Vegas of the East!
We started our food hunting session after we check in.
Rua do Cunha (官也街) is the place with different type of restaurants (portugese, western, chinese. etc) and lots of traditional shops.
2 famous pastelaria(bakery) is just opposite each other. But if you wish to get the fresh biscuit from KoiKei, u might can get it from the shoplots just side of A-Ma Temple.
We had our dinner here. Their crab porridge was just awsome!
This shop is famous with their durian icecream!
After walk around in 官也街, we made our steps to The Venetian. Saw this huge building while on the way to the venetian.
While it just another casino, called Galaxy.
Front view of The Venetian.
A view of the artificial sky
Handsome Portuguese with a nice voice. Singing on the boat.
Well, transportation in Macau was not a big problem for us. As you can take bus which cost you HKD/MOP 3.2 to anywhere. Besides, you can take shuttle bus from casino to another casino (Partner, as i think 80% of casino in Macau is owned by Stanley Ho)
The photo above is the front view of The Sands
Last destination of the day - Macau Fisherman's Whart. The Fisherman's Wharf is a theme park that is located opposite Sands Hotel and Casino on Macau Peninsula. Yet the strange this is, there didn't seem to be anybody around. The whole place was so empty, it felt like an empty stage set !
Partly, the reason is they closed most of the attractive place and not much shoplots open at there.
The buildings all look quite authentic, and in the evening light there was a certain charm about the place. Its a pity most of the shops were unoccupied. This looked like a failed project, quite unexpected in Macau.
And there, here comes to the end of my journey in Macau. We walked about 20min back to our hotel, pity right.
FYI, the hotel we stayed is the hotel without casino. Hence, you will have a peaceful night if you staying at there. =p
